Hi families,
This month, we're learning all about God’s love and compassion. Whether you’re joining us in-person or online, today we are celebrating that incredible love for everyone, everywhere.
(Reminder: if you’re coming in-person, remember to weary your cozy pajamas to church for our celebration!)
In this week’s episodes, we’re hearing the story of Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well from John 4:1-42. He spoke with her and completely changed how she understood the Messiah and what God was doing in the world.
Here’s the bottom line: show others that they matter! We all matter and are valuable to God. That’s a big deal: you matter. And when we can accept that gift from God, then we have the ability to care for others, include them, and spend time with them. In those special ways, we help them see how much they matter to God and us.
How about that for a deeper, more true way to celebrate Valentine’s Day?

Practice our elementary memory verse: The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what He requires of you. You must act with justice. You must love to show mercy. And you must be humble as you live in the sight of your God (Micah 6:8).
