starting children off on the way they should go

Our children's ministry, TGC Kids, seeks to guide children in their relationship with Christ by providing a loving atmosphere where they are fully accepted as children created in the image of God.

We support parents as the primary disciple-makers and believe in the power of the discipleship through community, with church as family, helping children shape their character to be more like that of Christ.

what to expect on sundays

NOTE: We do not have in-person worship gatherings at this time.

TGC Kids provides a full children's program every Sunday (starting at 10:15am) during the worship gathering at Middle School 51 (350 5th Avenue at 4th Street) for Babies—Grade 5. Please visit the Check-In Table in the Lobby when you arrive:

  • If you are new to TGC Kids, please register your child with a team member. It’s a quick and easy process.

  • Use a kiosk to check-in your child and print out their name tag. Don't forget to keep the security tag with you to pick-up your child after class!

  • Drop-off your child in their classroom, connect with a teacher, and say a quick, reassuring goodbye to your child.

  • Pick-up your child promptly after the worship service is over. Have your security tag ready to present to a teacher.

Explore our Family Guide for more details about our policies and expectations.

Babies

All children 12 months or younger

We are delighted to welcome new families into our church community. If you have a newborn, infant, or toddler, we have reserved seating in the Auditorium and a nearby Babies Room for changing and feeding during our weekly Sunday service. Childcare is not available for ages 0-12 months.

mighty oaks: our preschool program

All children 12 months old through preschoolers

We use the Orange First Look curriculum in our preschool classes. Each Sunday, our team invites each child to explore the wonder of God's story and meet them where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially.

Preschoolers are building a spiritual foundation so that by the time they head into elementary school, they know three simple, but powerful, truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Adventurers: our elementary program

All children Kindergarten through 5th Grade

We use the Orange 252 Studio curriculum in our elementary classes. Each Sunday, our team invites each child into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus by sharing one clear and simple "bottom line" so kids can walk away and remember what matters most.

Everything we teach is based on the three essential truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated."

Parent Cue

We want to help your child reach their full potential and support the amazing things you do together as a family. We recommend the Parent Cue app to help you do something fun and instructive with your child each week so you can grow deeper together in your faith.

You can get a sneak peek at what we're learning at church, practice the memory verse, explore new ways to connect with your child, and countdown the weeks until graduation.

Phase Guides

Make the most of every phase in your child's life with Phase Guides, an 18-part book series from the team behind the Parent Cue app and our TGC Kids curriculum. These concise, interactive journals help prompt you to give your child the things they need most this year to build their faith and character.

Stop by the Check-In Table on Sundays to thumb through the guides for yourself and ask our team questions about how to use the series with your family.

Our children’s ministry is about more than providing childcare during a Sunday gathering. It is about creating a space that is safe and inviting for children.

Each week, a dedicated and trained team of storytellers, worship leaders, classroom assistants, and team leaders bring God's word to life through age-appropriate lessons, songs, and play.
