the big dinner

sunday 24 november — 5–8pm — old first reformed church — 729 Carroll Street

Join us for an epic church-wide, family-style potluck dinner, just ahead of Thanksgiving. Plan to bring a dish that reminds you of home to share with everyone. Invite your friends and family… all are welcome to attend! Toys and games will be available for your child during the evening, but we encourage you to first enjoy the meal together as a family.

the venue

Old First Reformed Church
729 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215

Use the wooden door on Carroll Street near the corner of 7th Avenue across from the Key Foods grocery. You can take the 2 3 4 trains to Grand Army Plaza, or the B Q trains to 7th Avenue, or the B67 B69 buses to Union Street.

what to bring

If you love making a dish from scratch... or you're an expert in finding the best store-bought food (and passing it off as your own), let us know what you're planning to bring and share with everyone! You can also participate in our two food contests (see below).

We have limited availability to heat up or chill your dish, so please plan accordingly. Trinity Grace will provide beverages, plates, cups, utensils, serving trays, labels for your dish, and takeaway containers for leftovers.

why we gather

The Big Dinner is a recurring rhythm at Trinity Grace for building relationships that we see displayed by Jesus and his followers through the simple act of sharing a meal together. This is a beautiful opportunity to remind each other of how we are all loved, accepted, and seen as children created in the image of God.

Please pray with us leading up to this gathering: that it will be an amazing opportunity for us to grow deeper as a community.

"Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together... Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame... Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."
