Our outreach ministry at Trinity Grace partners with local organizations supporting New Yorkers in need through the callings and giftings within our church community. Here are some of the current opportunities.

 
 

SAFE FAMILIES

Safe Families is a volunteer-driven ministry with the goal of keeping kids safe and families intact. A longterm partner organization, Safe Families organizes vetted and trained volunteers from local churches to offer individualized support for families in crisis. They aim to offer a broad community of support to those in our city who may need assistance or have limited resources.

The parents that we serve are often overwhelmed by their circumstances and socially isolated. We want the church to become their community as we form extended family like relationships. Our volunteers seek to empower, encourage, and strengthen families through mutually beneficial relationships. We seek to reduce foster care numbers by supporting families as we know that stress and isolation can lead to abuse and neglect.

There are a variety of volunteer roles to come alongside overwhelmed families. The roles are flexible and volunteers can offer support according to their skills, interests, and availability. Want to get involved? Complete this form.

camp friendship

The Camp Friendship Food Pantry has been serving hundreds of families with food insecurity across Brooklyn since June 2020. There are opportunities to donate food, prepare and pack meals, and to make deliveries to people’s homes. Contact Josh Staton to get involved.

MIXTECA

Mixteca is a community-based organization located in Sunset Park. It exists to address critical needs in health, education, social and legal issues facing the burgeoning Mexican and Latin American immigrant community in Brooklyn. Opportunities exist to volunteer with food distribution on Saturdays as well as a number of other programs. Contact Patricia Manwaring to get involved.
