Our TGC Youth will be partnering with Covenant House to organize a Sleep Out. Covenant House provides shelter, resources and long term help to young people experiencing Homelessness. A Sleep Out is an event where people give up their beds for a night to raise money and awareness for teenagers experiencing homelessness in our City. This is an opportunity for the young people of our youth group to grow in compassion for and stand behind young people in our city experiencing Homelessness.
As students help to fundraise for the cause they will learn more about homelessness in our city, and have their hearts and minds opened to Gods heart for young people experiencing homelessness in our city.
This event is open to students in middle and high school. We will provide chaperones to attend with them from TGC leaders and parents. If you are interested in being a chaperone or attending with your child, you are more than welcome, just let us know.
This event will be held at Resurrection Brooklyn Church (350 Clinton Ave) from 7PM Friday October 17th until 8am Saturday October 18th.
There will also be an option to pick up your kids at 11pm if they are not able to spend the whole night out.
