We are thrilled to partner with our friends at CHiPS, a local food pantry in Brooklyn, to feed the hungry, and VocalNY, a statewide grassroots membership organization that builds power among low-income people directly impacted by HIV/AIDS, the drug war, mass incarceration, and homelessness.
We will be making 200 sandwiches and 30 meal kits at Middle School 51 immediately after our worship gathering and delivering them to CHiPS for distribution to our neighbors facing food insecurity.
Two ways to help:
Join us to prepare sandwiches immediately after church (only takes about 20 minutes).
Drop-off donations at church (individually wrapped snacks, bars, or cookies).
This ongoing monthly project is part of our Good Neighbors Brooklyn, a series of opportunities to respond to the practical needs of our neighbors during the pandemic and beyond.
