Thursday of Holy Week is known traditionally as Maundy Thursday; "maundy" comes from the Latin word mandatum, meaning commandment, referring to the new commandment Jesus gave his disciples on this night. 

Thursday evening, we would like to encourage families or roommates to participate in a in-home communion service with a foot washing as we remember Jesus' humility and servanthood and the institution of the Lord's Supper.
