Operation Exodus

The mission of Operation Exodus Inner City (Exodus) is to promote personal growth, high educational achievement, and leadership to underserved children, with an emphasis on the Latino community in Washington Heights, through quality out-of-school education, caring mentoring relationships, school placement and parent workshops. The Heights MC volunteers regularly with Operation Exodus and you are always welcome to join; email Billy for more info.

Restore NYC

Restore is a Christian non-profit organization serving women enslaved by the sex trade by providing safe housing and specialized services to restore their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. The Park Slope MC often participates in Restore volunteer opportunities; email Lance for more info.

Be the Change Uganda

Be the Change is a non-profit organization that provides education, mentoring and basic needs for the lives of children in Uganda, by offering housing, medical care, a village mentor, and monthly allowances for food and transportation. Currently 11 children are supported who live in Ndejje Village outside of Kampala; many of whom have lost one or both parents to the AIDS epidemic. The goal is to holistically care of these children by offering a family environment for those who are orphaned and provide a sense of responsibility for themselves and their community. The hope is to secure their futures and help raise up the next generation of leaders in Uganda.

Caleb Hope Foundation

The Caleb Hope Foundation mobilizes individuals from the artist and professional communities in the city to empower the poorest of the poor in the slums of India. CHF uses the gifts and abilities of young American dreamers to change the economic and unjust conditions of the less fortunate. CHF sends one or two teams per year to India from TGC; contact Jeremiah for more info on the next trip.

Reveal

Reveal is a grassroots movement of NYC professionals from all industries coming together to demonstrate and reinforce love and healing by providing opportunities to celebrate beauty and dignity for women recovering from abuse and sex exploitation. NYCSalt

NYCSalt is a non-profit new media program for high school students in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. The mission is to provide visual communication skills, internships, and exposure to the creative industry in NYC to teenagers in Washington Heights.

The Blind Project

The Blind Project is a group of individuals in New York City who feel the burden of exploited and afflicted children are are called to action – working towards partnering with indigenous organizations in Southeast Asia to protect those vulnerable to human trafficking and to provide restoration through education, life skills training and counseling.
