Giving at TGC
Generosity

We live in a culture where spirituality cannot be separated from generosity. The needs of our city and of the world are impossible to ignore. The teachings of Jesus implore us to give to those in need and to commit ourselves to an ethic of generosity. The scriptures say that God loves a cheerful giver, not because the church's needs are met, but because God's heart is made glad when we depend on him to provide for us. "Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6).

General Fund Descriptions

  • The Tithes & Offerings fund supports the general operating budget, so we encourage your commitment to this fund. Under subfund, we encourage you to choose your neighborhood church, since your gift directly influences its budget.
  • The Deacons’ or Benevolence Fund exists so that anyone in our church community can participate in meeting the financial needs of other people in our community. Our Christmas offering will, in part, go toward this fund.
  • The Events & Fees fund enables payment for retreat, resources, seminars and so on, and should be used only if directed.
  • A number of our staff raise their own support in order to live in this city and serve our community. The Fundraising fund and its subfunds facilitate their support-raising.
  • City Collective is the church planting network of Trinity Grace Church. Supporting this fund continues our vision of being a movement, following Christ's call to go and make disciples in New York and all nations.
