Midtown East MC

The Midtown East missional community serves the neighborhoods of Midtown East proper, Murray Hill, Kips Bay, the Flatiron District, and Gramercy Park. We gather together on a weekly basis and are guided by the following monthly Gospel rhythm:

WEEK 1 | Loving One Another | Community Dinner

We come together to share a meal, tell stories of God’s work in our lives, and laugh with one another in a comfortable atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to bring friends and allow God to strengthen our relationships with one another.

WEEK 2 | Serving Our Neighbors | The Door

We meet on Thursday to serve youth from all over the city. While we hope this will be a fruitful partnership that will branch out to multiple areas of service, we’re starting out small by organizing and maintaining The Door Store, which is where Door members can pick up free clothing. As we build relationships there will be evolving opportunities to help both individually and as a group: everything from tutoring to playing games to just hanging out with the kids in the common areas. Community Worship

WEEK 3 | Pursuing Wholeness | Dinner Discussion

We meet in a home to share a meal and engage in a pointed discussion of biblical, personal, and cultural relevance. Topics and discussion leaders will vary from month to month.

WEEK 4 | Loving God | Community Worship

We gather to sing songs of worship, read from Scripture, pray corporately, and allow the Spirit of God to move in our missional community.

WEEK 5 | Celebration

In the event that a month has a 5th Tuesday, we will do something fun in the city as a missional community (e.g., game night, Broadway show, Knicks game, etc.).
