Midtown East MCThe Midtown East missional community serves the neighborhoods of Midtown East proper, Murray Hill, Kips Bay, the Flatiron District, and Gramercy Park. We gather together on a weekly basis and are guided by the following monthly Gospel rhythm:
We come together to share a meal, tell stories of God’s work in our lives, and laugh with one another in a comfortable atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to bring friends and allow God to strengthen our relationships with one another.
Community DinnerWe meet on Saturday and serve as the arts and crafts team at a neighborhood organization called Project HAPPY. The mission of this 30-year-old organization is to promote the well-being of New York City’s disabled children, youth, and young adults through mentoring, recreational activities, and individual and team sports. Check out the website for details:http://www.project-happy.org.
Project HappyWe meet in a home to share a meal and engage in a pointed discussion of biblical, personal, and cultural relevance. Topics and discussion leaders will vary from month to month.
We gather to sing songs of worship, read from Scripture, pray corporately, and allow the Spirit of God to move in our missional community.
Community WorshipIn the event that a month has a 5th Tuesday, we will do something fun in the city as a missional community (e.g., game night, Broadway show, Knicks game, etc.).
