Last Week (Sunday, March 7):  “…a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks” – John 4:23.  We met at the Dwyer Cultural Center, 258 Saint Nicholas Avenue at 123rd St to worship God together. Brendan shared his testimony and Niki gave an exhortation on “Powerful and Effective Prayer”.

___________

(Sunday, Feb 28): While the snowstorm prevented us from engaging in cleaning the streets of our community, we took the opportunity to huddle at Vicky Samaritano’s to watch a documentary on the histroy of NYC and to pray for the city.

___________

Sun, Feb 21: The men and women’s groups met separately (at the Village Pourhouse and the Biddy’s, respectively) to pursue personal wholeness and transformation.  We wrestled with the question: “If you were to die tomorrow, what would you like your epitaph to say?” and prophetically prayed for one another that God would continue to shape and to make true each person’s desire.

_______

Sun, Feb 14:  The MC met at the Biddy’s residence to elebrate the romantic Valentine’s day holiday in an intimate, fun and low pressure family atmosphere.

_____________

Sun, Feb 7: The saints of God celebrated the NO Saints and the IN Colts in an epic battle for american football supremacy.  It was a ‘Saintly’ triumph.

_____

Sun, Jan 31: Worshipping God together at the Dwyer cultural center in Central Harlem.

____

Sun, Jan 24: Monthly mission – Prayer Walk. A group of nine met after the morning service to discuss the demographics and spiritual needs of the parish. Afterwards, the group split into two. One team walked through south Harlem and the other through the Upper West Side while each prayed strategically for the respective neighborhoods. All lunched afterwards at the Saigon Grill.

____

Sun, Jan 17: The Morningside Harlem (MoHa) missional community was launched. Turn out was very encouraging with a mix of new and familiar faces. After sharing a meal together, Jon Tyson and the leaders delivered the vision for the missional community. We are excited to see what God does in, through and around us as we focus on the four values of loving God, Self, Others and the World.
