Christmas Tree CuttingOur annual Christmas tree cutting trip to Maple Row Tree Farm in CT will be Saturday, December 4. We usually stop for amazing pizza on the way back at Frank Pepe’s.

Mark Sayers is an author and speaker who specializes in interpreting popular culture from a Christian viewpoint. He is the Director of Über, a ministry that specializes in issues of youth and young adult discipleship. He is also leader of Red East in Melbourne, Australia, an innovative Christian community specifically reaching the young adult demographic. He is a highly sought-after speaker, consultant and thinker in the areas of Generation Y, pop culture and youth and young Adult discipleship and spirituality. Mark is the author of The Vertical Self: How Biblical Faith Can Help Us Discover Who We Are in An Age of Self Obsession. Mark lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife Trudi and daughter Grace.

The Bowery Mission is probably the most popular, but there are several other organizations that are well known in the city and that do good work.

New York Cares: New York Cares has hundreds of different ways that you can make a difference in our city this holiday season. Help prep and serve a Thanksgiving dinner for the clients of the Yorkville Common Pantry on the Upper East Side. Check out there blog here.
