Trinity Grace Brooklyn prepares for Sunday Worship

Picture 48

Starting in September, Trinity Grace Church Park Slope will start Sunday worship services and officially launch as a neighborhood church. Caleb and Alison Clardy, Zach and Stacy Williams, and their core team will be heading up this local congregation.

The Park Slope Church has been meeting as a neighborhood missional community for the last eight months, and already has 60 people attending on average.

We are very excited about what God is doing in Park Slope, and ask you to commit to pray for Park Slope and the TGC Park Slope team.

Below is a map of the approximate locations of where the core team for TGC Park Slope lives. We are excited about the proximity represented here, and believe this is a phenomenal foundation for incarnational ministry and community service.

Calling All Artists

3546065927_15fb241ae7_b

Liturgy originally meant “the work of the people.” We want to highlight the work of our artists in our community by enabling them to contribute to the corporate elements of worship in our gatherings.

This may include, painting, sculpture, photography, dance, graphic design, poetry, spoken word or any other medium.

For our current calling all artists series we are studying and meditating on the sermon on the mount and sharing work as a reflection to this particular text. For more information, or to receive the teaching texts to prepare your work email callingallartists@trinitygracechurch.com

June 2009 TGC church-wide survey

In June 2009 we did a survey of our whole congregation: Who are you, how old are you, what gatherings and missional communities do you attend, how long do you plan to stay in the city—and more.

Read the complete results here, or view most of the graphs below.

Survey Results – June 2009

Age demographics
Neighborhood churches
Note that ”blank” genders in the legend above refer to people we don’t know personally, who have gender indeterminate names like ”Robin.”
Overwhelmingly, people who took the time to fill out the survey consider this church their
home.
Of all survey respondents, more than half are involved in a missional community.
Of the 364 people who filled out this survey and called our church their home, almost two-thirds of these people are involved in a missional community.
Almost three-quarters of survey respondents have lived at their current apartment for less than two years.
More than half of survey respondents plan to leave their apartment in one to two lease cycles.
Plans to stay or not to stay in our neighborhoods are up in the air. We aren’t yet committed to
the neighborhoods we live in.
Half of survey respondents have been here less than three years—which means that half of
respondents have been here more than three years.
One-fifth say “forever”…
Most people are established in their industry of choice.
